Are you a truck driver with experience in concrete formwork and finishing?
City Works and Services is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Truck Driver to join our civil construction and maintenance crew! The successful applicant will be required to assist their Leading Hand with work site operations in construction and maintenance activities and will ensure the safe operation and general maintenance of plant.
As part of the assessment process applicants may be asked to undertake a practical assessment.
This is a temporary position up to 12 months with the possibility of being made permanent subject to operational requirements.
Following this recruitment, an eligibility list may be formed and may be used for future vacancies that arise within the next 12 months.

Essential Selection Criteria:
Hold relevant recognised industry qualifications in:
• Current MR Drivers Licence
• Level one Traffic Control - using stop/slow batons [blue card]
• WHS Construction Induction White Card
• Implement Traffic Control Plans or currently hold previous Apply Traffic Control Plans [yellow card] (or willing to obtain)
• Work Near Overhead Power Lines Licence (or willing to obtain)
Previous experience in concrete formwork and finishing.
Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety principles.
Knowledge of Work Health and Safety Act requirements relevant to the position.
Ability to complete documentation relevant to the position.
Demonstrated experience and competence in operation of lorries in the construction and maintenance of civil infrastructure.
Demonstrated competency and ability at truck driving, towing trailers and maintaining a truck.
Proven ability to function effectively as part of a team and work unsupervised as required.
Understanding of the loading and unloading of vehicles, as well as towing.
Desirable Selection Criteria:
Hold a relevant recognised industry recognised licence/qualification in:
• HR Drivers licence
• Confined Spaces Awareness
• Dogging certification High Risk Work Licence Safe Work NSW
Ability to operate truck mounted slewing crane after appropriate training.
