The opportunity

A fantastic opportunity exists for a committed, enthusiastic and experienced Site Supervisor to join our Food and Patient Support Services, Healthshare . You will lead a team and supervise the day to day operational activities within Food Services based at Wollongong Hospital.

Ensure HealthShare NSW employees operate and engage in accordance with the NSW Health and HealthShare NSW values and the HealthShare NSW customer commitments
To successfully manage relationships within HealthShare NSW and with customers
Key responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to staff to ensure continuous effective service delivery and a performance-based, innovative, responsive and accountable customer focussed work culture
Supervise staff throughout the shift to ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with safe work practices, and in a professional and timely manner
Where required perform operational work activities within the kitchen to support service delivery outcomes,
Ensure staff follow safe operating procedures, policies and instructions, and that corrective actions are taken as required
Develop staff rosters and action roster changes, and arrange for replacement staff in conjunction with Site Manager
Manage low level staff complaints and report complex issues
Contribute to site risk planning and assist in putting in place emergency and risk management plans; and support the communication to staff about these plans
Assist with preparation and/or maintenance of documentation as required for Food Safety and other audits
About you

To be considered for this dynamic role, you must be able to work on a seven day rotating roster. You will need to have had previous supervisory experience in the operations of food services; you will have excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrate the ability to analyse and develop solutions for day to day challenges in an operational environment. Experience using CBOARD to place food orders or willing to be trained using CBOARD.
