Degree in engineering, project management, business, related discipline or equivalent experience.
The Group Manager – Engineering Operations is accountable for construction and maintenance service delivery of Council’s civil, building and open space infrastructure assets, and the management of waste collection and cleansing services to the Sutherland Shire. The Manager is accountable for:
Leadership of the Group, maintaining a clear understanding of stakeholder expectations and Council’s strategic direction
Management for sustained service delivery outcomes through the effective allocation and use of resources, financial controls, service agreements, contracts, asset management plans and branch operating plans.
Develop and provide input to corporate policies and plans to advance Council’s strategic direction and to identify, advise and respond to risks as they relate to the Group.
Promotion and development of a positive work culture based on the organisation’s values and focussed on achieving the performance objectives.
Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement including fostering a positive work culture aligned to the organisational values.
Maintain strong working relationships at all levels with staff, executive, councillors and external stakeholders.
Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment is maintained.
