Your new role

Based in Bomaderry, NSW, the Contract Manager is responsible for effectively and efficiently employing available capital and human resources to achieve agreed targets and maximise profit in our contract for the collection, transport and beneficial use of biosolids produced at our client sites.

You will be a key management contact, and provide overall operational management of the contract delivering high levels of client satisfaction and report on agreed KPI's, ensure OHS&E compliance, control of direct costs and overheads and manage personnel training and human resources.

You will assist with financial forecasting, reporting and budgeting and ensure that appropriate systems are in place provide effective plant and equipment management. You will be responsible for the management of transport and operational subcontractors and ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained as per the business and contractual requirements, and that specific daily transport requirements are met for each plant under the contract.

You will demonstrate a high level of verbal and written communication skills allowing you to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, internal stakeholders and also to develop strong relationships and work closely with the farming communities where we operate.

Your skills and experience

The successful candidate will have proven experience in monitoring operational activities, equipment and cost control. A current drivers license is required as significant travel to the Sydney Basin and Central West regions is necessary in this role. You will have the ability to conduct soil and site surveys, while being able to describe a soil profile according to Australian standards, this will be supported by mapping and GIS skills.

You will have a strong customer service ethic, pride in the maintenance and presentation of equipment, a strong commitment to safety and a willingness to work as part of a team. You will also have the ability to work automatously meeting delivery outcomes, supported by accurate record keeping skills utilising computer based systems. Previous experience in a similar role is a must, and a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Agronomy or another relevant discipline are preferred.
