What is the role?

As a Work for the Dole (WfD) Field Officer you will be required to source, develop, negotiate, implement, manage and promote Work for the Dole activities across a selected region. This position will foster positive relationships with host organisations, MAX operational teams, job seekers, lead jobactive Employment Providers, the WfD Coordinator and other stakeholders.

What will you be accountable for?

Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to establish community networks, projects and activities that deliver the program objectives within the region
Develop and negotiate project proposals, contracts and agreements appropriate to WfD activities (as lead or sole Employment Provider)
Undertake, review and update risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies for all activities
Timely and appropriate management, investigation and reporting of activity related incidents
Assist MAX operational sites within the region to identify individual and group activities that provide real work like experiences and match to job seekers
Manage and support job seeker attendance, participation and WHS needs for all WfD activities
The development of timely and accurate 'end of activity' reports and acquittals
Promotion and showcasing of WfD activities as required
Working within contractual guidelines, quality systems and policies and procedures
What are we looking for from you?

Experience in a similar role and/or in business development and account management
Ability to quickly build effective and positive working relationships with various stakeholders
Highly capable in negotiating business solutions with external providers
Ability to identify and develop WfD activities linked to labour market trends, employer requirements and job seeker needs
Advanced level of communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Strong positive problem solving, conflict resolution skills, business acumen and budgetary skills
Knowledge of risk management approaches, including the ability to undertake risk assessments on WfD activities
