We are looking for dedicated and positive individuals like you who live in and around the Eastern Suburbs area to join our team to provide support to people with disabilities across our community programs.

This is a great opportunity for recent disability graduates or current students to gain hands-on experience and work more hours during this holiday season. Plenty of shifts available! We have a number of different shifts on offer 7 days a week between the hours of 8am and 9pm, so it is important that you provide us with your availability to ensure we can meet the needs of our clients as well as your personal needs.

You will work within a person-centred model to support and assist our clients to develop and retain skills, maximise independence and quality of life as well as assist them in community participation whilst ensuring their adequate health and safety. You will be helping with daily living activities such as personal care, respite (including recreational activities), transport to/from appointments and day programs, cleaning/domestic assistance, meal preparation and shopping.

We are looking for people from all different backgrounds who have:
• A passion for working with people with disabilities
• Knowledge and understanding of the needs of a person with a disability
• Experience working in the disability sector or related work
• A can-do attitude
• Current driver's licence
• Own car for work purposes
• Comprehensive car insurance (or willingness to obtain)
• First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Smart phone and internet access
• Epilepsy training (or willingness to obtain upon commencement)
• Working with Children Check clearance (or willingness to obtain)**

Although not essential, it would be highly regarded if you hold a relevant qualification (Cert. III in Disability or similar) and knowledge and understanding of Jewish values, heritage and culture.
