The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our Road Safety Technology team within Transport for NSW. This position plays a key role in providing high level, efficient administrative support and contributes towards the effective operation of the business unit. The role reports to the Manager Road Safety Technology, Freight, Strategy and Planning.

One of the key accountabilities of this position will be to perform a range of administrative duties to support senior management and the Branch, including co-ordination of meetings, diary maintenance, and provision of a reception service, arrangement of training and travel, procurement of inter-government services, stationery and deliveries, and arrangement of the maintenance of office machines.

We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to balance the needs of a manager and the wider team along with planning and prioritising workloads to meet tight deadlines.

Essential requirements

• Demonstrated experience in an administration support role.
• Experience in using Microsoft software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and in preparing correspondence and reports as required.
