This IT Project Manager position is responsible for undertaking technical work which will drive effective outcomes for the community. You will exercise judgement and provide professional technical advice in relation to complex problems.
The Enterprise Solutions and Technology (EST) business line is responsible for delivering contemporary technology solutions for ATO staff and the community.
We work together with other business lines and our external service partners to design, build, test and maintain the IT systems, tools, services and infrastructure that underpin the ATO's operations.

As a Project Manager, you will use your knowledge and experience of large scale enterprise environments to develop and implement strategies that assist in meeting the ATO's overall strategic goals.
You will be responsible for:
Managing projects conducted jointly with external service providers, utilising the mandated ATO project management methodology
Initiating, managing, planning and/or directing high-level research and project work that requires a strong technical background, a high degree of originality, and independent judgment in relation to information technology projects
Representing the ATO on complex and/or technical issues with external practitioners, industry representatives and government agencies
Coordinating project activities, functions and/or advice requiring consideration of options, analysis of information and the assessment of impacts on the ATO's operation; providing expert advice to senior staff and other impacted stakeholders
Researching and providing advice on complex issues and new strategies and policies which may not have established precedents or guidelines
