SENIOR LIBRARY OFFICER – DIGITAL SERVICES

Salary from $1,221 to $1482 per week plus penalties & superannuation
(Depending upon qualifications and experience)
Contributing to a vibrant, positive and energised team, you will combine your excellent communications and customer service skills to provide high quality library services to the community, both online and face-to-face. This role focusses on the delivery of digital-based library services, including but not limited to, technology classes, website maintenance, social media and marketing of library events.
This is a full time position working 35 hours per week and will include day, night and weekend shifts as rostered. Initially located at Wollongong Central Library this position may be located at any of the branches within the Wollongong City Libraries dependant on requirements.
Please note that under Part 2, Section 6 of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012, this position has been designated as requiring a Working with Children Check. If successful for an interview, you will be required to present your Working with Children Check application/clearance reference number.
Essential Selection Criteria:
Hold as a minimum the TAFE Diploma of Library and Information Studies or be eligible for paraprofessional membership of ALIA.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of operations, systems and trends in the Library industry.
Demonstrated ability to work positively and effectively in a multi-skilled team environment.
Demonstrated experience in accurately maintaining library computer systems and databases.
Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise workload to ensure the achievement of work programs, project objectives and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to provide excellence in customer service.
Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise work and meet deadlines.
Proven ability to update and maintain web based communication channels, including websites and social media.
Proven ability and experience in coordinating and delivery marketing activities.
Demonstrated experience in supporting library customer technologies including public internet PC's, photocopiers and printers.
Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
