MANAGER, COMMUNITY & CULTURAL LIFE

We are seeking an energetic and positive Manager Community and Cultural Life to lead and manage Community and Cultural Development initiatives. Reporting to the Group Manager Community Connections you will be responsible for managing a small team while engaging key stakeholders and the community to develop innovative community and cultural projects and events.
Key responsibilities and tasks of the role include:
Managing and leading the Community and Cultural Life team to develop, deliver and evaluate a range of innovative and creative community projects and events
Contributing to the development of team goals and priorities to manage and enhance team performance as well as develop and maintain team harmony
Providing strategic advice and input on community and cultural aspects proposed in the new developments areas of Calderwood Valley and Shell Cove Waterfront
Working in partnership with other sections of Council and the community to consult on and prepare strategic plans, reports and policies
Working with consultants, internal and external stakeholders to develop a business case for a new Aboriginal social enterprise
Managing, monitoring and forecasting the team's budget within budget allocation to support Council's strategic and corporate directions
Developing effective and constructive working relationships with local and regional service providers and funders to attract and maintain resources for the City
This is a full time position and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government State Award, relevant legislation and Council's policies and procedures.
The position is Grade 19 under Council's salary system with a salary up to $1636.48 per week. Other benefits include a fully maintained leaseback vehicle in accordance with Council's motor vehicle policy.
