Are you a great communicator with a passion for providing quality customer service?
As the first point of engagement with weekend Gallery visitors this position will provide an efficient, informative, responsive and courteous customer service experience to a diverse range of people who come to view exhibitions, attend functions or programs, and/or visit the Gift Shop.
This position is 8 hours per week, working 4 hours Saturday and 4 hours Sunday.
Essential Selection Criteria:
An understanding of, and a commitment to, the principles of quality Customer Service and the ability to effectively and sensitively deliver that service through effective communication.
Demonstrated experience in a "front line customer service" role within a customer focussed or cultural service organisation.
A demonstrated commitment to the promotion of the visual and decorative arts within the community.
High level interpersonal skills including the ability to deal with difficult customers and resolve conflict effectively.
Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office software packages.
Ability to develop productive working relationships in a professional manner to a diverse range of people including our internal and external customers.
A demonstrated ability, in a multi-skilled team environment, to manage own performance, participate constructively in forward planning and contribute to the performance of the team, in order to meet the work group's goals and objectives.
Knowledge of and commitment to organisational values and participative work practices, and an ability to promote and apply them in the workplace.
Demonstrated understanding of WHS principles.
