Essential criteria

  • Diploma qualified (NO new graduates)
  • WWCC
  • Current First Aid and Anaphylaxis
  • Child Protection
  • Knowledge of EYLF and NQF
  • Understanding of QIP
  • Philosophical and Theoretical understanding as well as understanding of Attachment Theory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great conflict resolution within the team
  • Up to date with current research and practices (no structured academic background - school readiness, etc)
  • Flexible with work hours (can start early or finish late however they will be on a set shift)
  • Great time management with programming and planning
  • Organised and clean
  • Patient and calm with a low voice (cannot be loud in the room)
  • Reliable and persistent
  • Resilient and reflective
  • Room leader experience
  • Genuine interest in working with children
  • Full day programming
  • Close to public transport and parking available
  • Autonomy to lead the room
  • Consistency with shift for a healthy work/life balance
  • All meals provided so they do not need to bring lunch (healthy organic dishes)
