Are you an experienced plant operator looking to join a dynamic team?
We are seeking an motivated mobile plant operator to join our City Works Central Maintenance team. In this position you will be responsible for assisting work site operations in construction and maintenance activities of Council's infrastructure. You will use your experience and skills to drive a diverse range of plant including loading and unloading onto a tilt tray truck in a range of environments.
Essential Selection Criteria:
Possess a previous WorkCover national certificate of competency (photo)* as proof of having in the past held a certificate of competency to operate plant OR a current certificate of competency to operate plant issued by an Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
Hold current relevant industry recognised qualifications and licences in:
- Level One Traffic Control (or currently hold previous Traffic Controller blue card)
- Level Two Traffic Controller (or currently hold previous Apply Traffic Control Plans yellow card)
- WHS Construction Induction Training Certificate
- Working Near Overhead Power Lines (or willing to obtain)
- MR Drivers Licence.
Demonstrated experience in the operation of a tilt tray truck or similar.
Demonstrated experience in concrete formwork and finishing
Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles and knowledge of WHS Act requirements relevant to the position.
Physically capable of undertaking the manual tasks and duties relevant to the position.
Ability to complete documentation relevant to the position.
Demonstrated experience and competence in operation and maintenance of trucks in the construction and maintenance of civil infrastructure.
Proven ability to function effectively as part of a team and work unsupervised as required.
Ability to respond to and interact with others (including community members) appropriately in accordance with Council's values.
Experience in the loading and unloading of plant and equipment onto a tilt tray truck in a range of environments.
Desirable Selection Criteria:
Current HR Drivers Licence.
Ability to operate truck mounted slewing crane.
